Shavon Lloyd was the first winner of Orpheus's Student Composer Competition in 2019 and was commissioned to compose a reflection on Schutz's "Jauchzet dem Herren." His "Alleluia" was premiered by Orpheus and Founding Artistic Director Don Krehbiel on March 7, 2020.
